Greendex tracks what PC parts cost. Each product gets one daily price and a simple chart, so you can see where the market is heading without comparing dozens of models.
What we track
Nvidia GeForce RTX cards, enterprise GPUs, AMD Radeon cards, desktop RAM, internal SSDs, processors and other PC parts, plus Desktop PCs built from those prices. Prices are grouped by product, such as RTX 5060 or DDR5 32GB, rather than by brand or model.
Where the prices come from
Daily prices come from the wholesale list prices of a European IT distributor, excl. tax. When a wholesale price is missing or out of date, the price follows in-stock Amazon listings in USD. RTX PRO Blackwell cards, the RTX 5090 and some AMD cards are set by shop prices excl. tax and follow Amazon from there. All prices exclude VAT and sales tax. CPUs, motherboards, coolers, power supplies and cases follow in-stock Amazon listings, and each Desktop PC adds up the prices of its parts on this site, without assembly, Windows or tax.
Wholesale prices are converted to USD at the Norges Bank exchange rate, then to your currency at the latest rate. Shop prices can be higher or lower than the index.
How the index works
Every day, we collect and track prices for PC components directly from suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers worldwide. This includes graphics cards, processors, RAM, SSDs, and other PC hardware. When a wholesale price is missing, the price follows in-stock Amazon listings in USD instead.
For each component, we calculate a representative market price based on available pricing data from multiple sources. Our index tracks how these prices change over time, providing a clear picture of market trends.
We calculate daily changes using products available in both the current and previous datasets. This prevents products entering or leaving the market from creating artificial price movements.
Daily tracking began on October 31, 2026. The lighter line before that is a rough monthly estimate based on Norwegian shop prices for a few popular products, and it reaches back about two years at most. DDR4 and NVMe SSD reach back to January 2023 by following the market price per GB in the Memory Prices dataset from Stanford, so that part shows the market, not each exact product. RAM and SSD sizes of the same kind share one trend.
